三ヶ月ぶりのお稽古です！立夏を過ぎ、いよいよお茶の季節も夏になり、ふと気づくとお炭の用意ができていなかった。先生に教えていただきながら、お炭、薄茶、お炭、薄茶の順番でお稽古しました。手順など、忘れていたことも多かったけど。
We had a tea lesson in three months. The season of the tea has changed into summer. We were confused to follow the procedures about charcoal and thin tea. Our teacher taught us kindly and tirelessly. Thank you.

掛軸は代わり映えしませんが、茶花はかわいらしいですね。

主菓子は近くのお菓子屋さんの「若緑」、美味しかったです。
Today's fresh sweets are named "fresh green", made by a confectionery nearby.

畳も青畳に替えました。目にも涼やか、夏ですねぇ。これからもお稽古、頑張ります。
The central tatami was replaced with a fresh green one, which is used during the summer season until the end of October. It gives the coolness to guests.

大阪府和泉市にある施福寺へ、電車とバスを乗り継いで行きました。最初のシンボルである仁王門へ。新緑が美しいなぁ。ここから本堂まで30分も歩くというのです。山道のこと、高さもあるし距離もある。みんな、休み休み歩いて行きます。
I went to Sefukuji temple with taking train and buses. It takes several minutes to get to Niohmon Gate. Moreover, we need to walk more 30 minutes from here. Some walkers grip walking sticks to assist them.
　
二体の仁王像は、豊臣秀頼の時代のもの。わずかとはいえ色彩も残っており、400年以上経っているとは思えない。
A pair of Deva Kings are curved about 400 years ago. I can't believe it.

仁王門にわらじのお守りがたくさん掲げてありました。可愛らしい。そしてここから30分歩かないと本堂へは着かないわけですよね。よし、頑張ろう。
Waraji straw shoes are displayed by worshippers at the Niohmon Gate. So cute ! Well, It's necessary to walk for 30 minutes to get to the main hall. Let's start.
　
　
結構急な坂道を30分、休みながら登っていきます。薄着で寒いかなと思ったけれど、歩いているうちに、体が温かくなってきました。
Arriving at the mountain top I sweat slightly, walking with taking some rests. Walking is really good for me.

山道の途中から市内を一望するとこんなステキな風景が。すがすがしい気分になりました。

幸運にもご本尊のご開帳期間にあたり、内陣まで拝見することができました。山上の茶屋で食べたきつねうどんが美味しかった。山の景色もご馳走のうち！そして、神仏霊場会150社寺のうち、これで146箇所め達成です。
The main deity of inner room at the main hall is open during the special term. I'm so lucky. For lunch,
I ate Kitsune Udon at a restaurant on the mountain top. It was delicious!! At last, I collected the 146th of 150th stamps where are listed on certain association for shrines and temples.

アンパンマンがビルの１Fにいました。お腹のところから子供たちが入ることができて、中は空気で膨らんでいるので、ポンポン跳ねて遊べるし、仮にどこかにぶつけても痛くありません。もう少し小さいアンパンマンも外にいて、そちらでは記念写真を撮ることも出来ます。子供たち、とても嬉しそうでした。
Balloon Anpanman is on the atrium lobby of a building. Only kids enter the door on "his" belly and play in the balloon. If a child hits or falls down, he doesn't hurt. Another small Anpanman stands on the area as well, is very popular to be taken photo with. Kids look very happy.

今日は八十八夜。お茶摘みも始まっている頃でしょうか。秋の新茶が楽しみです。私のお稽古も、3ヶ月ほど間が空いてしまいましたが、いよいよ連休明けから再スタートします。その日を待ちきれなくてまずは一服、いただきま〜す。
Today is the 88th day of spring, the first tea of the season is picked from the end of April to the end of May. Tea picked at this time has an especially rich flavor. Most high-quality teas are produced from the first tea of the season.
My tea lesson has been temporarily stopped but restarts very soon again. I can't hardly wait till the day.

今月から、お筝を習いはじめました。昨年チャリティコンサートで、初めてお筝のアンサンブルを聴いたのがきっかけです。先生がわが家の近くに住んでおられる（なんとラッキー）ため、先生のご自宅がお稽古場です。第一回目は自分のお爪を初めてつけて、弾きかたや譜面の読み方を習いました。まだ覚束ない状態ですが、練習曲として「さくら」と「花嫁人形」を弾けたのは、嬉しかった。とにかく一曲弾いてみると、何となく形になった気がするから不思議です。
テキストは上から下に縦に読んでいくし、音は漢数字で書いてあります。むむ、結構難しい。慣れるまでコンスタントにお稽古します。またアップしますので、お楽しみに〜。
I started learning Koto, a thirteen-stringed musical instrument similar to a zither. Until 60-70 years ago, unmarried young women in Japan used to learn tea ceremony, flower arrangement, and traditional Japanese music before they get married. Compared to them, I'm old enough to start and married, haha.
I found my instructor at a charity concert last year, she was a member of an ensemble session. By listening to the music they played, I was impressed that the Koto sound was so dynamic and energetic than I had been thinking. Fortunately, my instructor lives nearby and I visit her place.
You need three finger picks for you those are used for the thumb, the index and middle fingers of the right hand. I practiced how to use the picks and read the musical score in Japanese style that is written vertically from the top to the bottom in Chinese characters instead of musical notes. Hmm...looks strange. Even though I'm a beginner, I played the popular tunes like "Sakura" and "Hanayome Ningyo(Bridal doll)" for the first lesson. Now I'm excited to wait for the next lesson.

あっ、この噴水は！京都の岡崎にある琵琶湖疎水記念館の噴水です。肌寒い日でしたが、今日の第一目的は、コチラ。
It was chilly when my husband and I went to Okazaki area, Kyoto city. This fountain is at the center of Lake Biwa Canal Museum of Kyoto. The museum was founded in 1989 to commemorate the 100th anniversary since the canal had been completed in Lake Biwa, which introduce the major roles of water power and its pioneer spirit. And our today's goal is...

岡崎桜回廊十石船めぐりに初乗船！シーズン初めで、まだ朝も早かったのでガラガラ。
We arrived at early in the morning and got on a boat for the canal named "Okazaki Cherry Corridor Cruising" shipping during spring.

たった二人のために出してくれました。ラッキー。
We're so lucky that the boat was serviced only for us.



まだ桜には早い時期に乗ったのですが、とっても快適です。平安神宮に来た人たちが船を見つけて手を振ってくれたり、こちらも振り返したりして、楽しいし。今は桜も終わって、若葉を愛でる時期になりましたが、ゴールデンウィーク中も営業中。
It was a very comfortable tour. Sometimes we and passers-by on the paths exchange the waving hand greetings. Now it's about to enjoy the fresh green instead of the cherry blossoms.


お腹も空いたので、ランチタイムは権太呂で。日本食がリーズナブルなお値段でいただけるとあって、外国人のお客様もおられます。けいらんを頂きました。生姜たっぷりであんかけ、体も温まって美味しかったわ〜。
We had lunch at Gontaro restaurant nearby where services Japanese dishes at a reasonable price. While we're at there, not only Japanese but international guests came to enjoy. I ate hot Keiran noodle with grated ginger, it was yummy and made my cold body hot.

日本のピラミッドとしてマスコミにも取り上げられる頭塔へ行ってきました。管理者である近くの表具店さんへ予め予約を入れてから行くことになっています。今もまだ知る人ぞ知る存在、かな。門を開けるとこのように通路ができています。先には一体何が？
My husband and I visited Zuto, so-called 'Pyramid in Japan' in Nara city. We had to make a reservation for the manager of Zuto. What is Zuto ? What is waiting for us ? Sounds so mysterious.

三重塔でも五重塔でもなく、頭塔。名前もなにやらミステリアスです。767年に東大寺の僧が土塁を築いたという記録が古文書にあるため、その時期に建造されたのではと推定されています。
Zuto literally means head pagoda. According to the bulletin board, it is guessed that was made in 767 because a Buddhist monk at Todaiji temple had constructed a mound around there.

方形７段の土塔であり、一辺の周囲32メートル、高さは10メートル。建造当時、いかに平野部が広がっていたとはいえ、結構な苦労があったのではないでしょうか。
The size of the building is a square, 32 meters on a side, 10 meters high. I can hardly imagine that 10 meters high building was built even though there are huge flat areas at that time. They must had been worked hard.

瓦屋根の下にはこんな風に仏像が彫り込んであります。場所によっては何時代のものか判別できないものもあるようです。南側には五輪の塔も。
There are curved Buddhist images under the roof tiles. Some are dateless because they are too old.

日本のピラミッドなのか否かは、分かれるところでしょうが、歴史好きの方には腕が鳴るところかもしれませんね。
